Don’t just learn
English, live it
Our afternoon intensive English camp for teens brings the English language to life. Of course we do grammar and vocabulary, write compositions, create presentations and practice reading and writing comprehension, but we also go on outings, play games, and do cooperative group projects to make sure we don't just learn English, we live it.
Activities for every
Each camper receives a textbook and workbook from the world renowned Cambridge English face2face book series during our courses. These books ensure that learning is targeted and thorough. Campers take these books home each evening to do some homework and may keep them after the course so that their learning continues.
Our teachers are experienced native English speakers who bring the English language to life. While we use the face2face Cambridge book series for our vocabulary and grammar content, our teachers include activities and games which ensure new friendships are created and good times are had by all.
A typical day
English camp courses for teens in Germany
KCA offers week-long, full immersion intensive English courses for teens from 13 years and up. From Monday through Friday 1pm – 5pm our teens dive into the four elements of English immersion: speaking, reading, writing, and listening, with certified and experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers. Our intensive English campers are any teens who want to improve their English in any one of the above areas. Because we limit our group size to 8 participants, our teachers are able to target each students’ individual needs. Each camper takes an English diagnostic test before the start of the course and our expert teachers plan lessons to fill each students’ learning gaps. After completing the diagnostic test each student is placed at their individual level and receives the student workbook that they may keep to continue their English practice after the course has ended.
Each of our intensive English courses uses the world renowned face2face Cambridge English books to spark conversation among our course participants. We recognize that in many school systems students simply do not speak enough English in class and therefore our primary focus is encouraging our students’ confidence in their spoken English. Of course, we focus on correct grammar, and vocabulary and therefore we utilize the students’ face2face workbooks throughout the course as well. KCA offers intensive English courses in Frankfurt, Berlin, and Munich. Our facilities are in some of the best private schools in each city, many offering SmartBoard access and technology based learning to enhance our lessons.

Our main goal is to get our teens speaking as much English as possible. We have noticed that in many school systems students simply do not speak enough but spend time writing vocabulary lists or doing grammar worksheets. To get our campers speaking we play games and do group projects, interviews, presentations etc. These allow our campers to express themselves and their creativity as well as develop their confidence in English. Our campers tell us that our program is fun and many return each year.
